Texas & Federal Criminal Appeals
A wrongful conviction or an unjust sentence is not the end of the road. As a former federal public defender and a Board Certified® criminal appellate attorney, I fight to overturn the errors that cost people their freedom.

The Offer
Appellate deadlines are strict and unforgiving. The sooner we review your record, the more options we can protect. Book a free 30-minute intake call to find out if an appeal is possible.
Exclusive Focus
My practice is limited to appeals and post-conviction matters in Texas and federal courts and nothing else.
Appealing federal criminal convictions in the Fifth Circuit or U.S. Supreme Court.
Appealing Texas convictions to the Court of Appeals or Court of Criminal Appeals.
Petitions for early release from federal prison for eligible inmates.
State (11.07) and federal post-conviction challenges to unlawful confinement.

Meet Your Attorney
I spent over seven years as an Assistant Federal Public Defender, including in the Capital Habeas Unit — representing clients facing the death penalty before the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Before that, I clerked for two judges at the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, giving me an insider's view of exactly how appellate judges evaluate a case.
"One of my proudest moments was getting a client off of death row."
My caseload is intentionally small, so every client gets the time, care, and attention their appeal deserves.
How I Work
I examine every page of your record — transcripts, motions, and rulings — for the errors that can change an outcome.
Years of complex federal appellate and capital work, from felonies to capital murder, in the Fifth Circuit.
An appeal isn't just a case — it's your freedom and your family. I explain each step in plain language.
I don't shy away from hard records, difficult judges, or constitutional fights with the government.
